Minecraft Official Skins Resource Packs Skyrim Java Edition

Minecraft, one of the best survival sandbox games out there, has some of the best availability on different platforms. Most mobile devices, tablets and consoles have a version of the game, known as Bedrock Edition. The way this version works is different from the Java Edition, as it has some limitations and additional features.

Bedrock has been said to provide a smoother Minecraft experience compared to Java, but where it's definitely lacking is in modded content. Thankfully, there are a few cool things even those playing on Bedrock can add in to give their game more color, including texture packs. These can truly change how the game feels. These are 10 of the best Minecraft Bedrock texture packs players should try.

Updated on the 29th of April, 2021 by Anastasia Maillot: Although Mojang announced there would be a slight delay in its upcoming 1.17 Caves and Cliffs update, which would instead be released in two parts rather than as one, there are still ways to make Minecraft feel like a fresh game.

Bedrock players looking to give the game a makeover should start right here, with texture packs. While the game is still fundamentally the same, a great texture pack can still completely change the way players experience the world as they adventure. Here are a few additional great texture packs for Minecraft Bedrock.

15 Modern Textures HD

Traditionally, the game has had a pretty natural, almost medieval look. It's difficult to place Minecraft into any set period, due to it having features like redstone while also having magic and swords. That doesn't mean, however, that modern looks aren't an option.

The Modern Textures HD by Imagiverse does this brilliantly, by not only giving the game a high definition and realistic look, but by also changing the way blocks appear. It's great for builders wanting to make modern builds.

14 Pure BDCraft

There's no denying that Minecraft has a vibrant, almost cartoonish look. That being said, there's a few Minecraft Bedrock texture packs that emphasize this playful side of the game even more by truly bringing cartoon and comic books into the game.

BDCraft's Pure BDCraft texture pack turns every block and mob in the game into something right out of the pages of a comic book. This is a great Bedrock texture pack for players who want immersive mobs that actually have some personality in their appearance.

13 HorrorCraft

Halloween might be ages away still, but who cares? This Minecraft Bedrock texture pack by GoE-Craft brings autumn and all of its horrors straight to the doorstep of the player. Every single block and mob has been tailored to fit a terrifying horror theme, guaranteed to turn a peaceful game into a frightening experience.

Not just that, the textures are pretty detailed, and even mundane things like plants will have their own little special touch to truly deliver the horror experience.

12 ZigZag

For players who can't stand horror and just want their game to look cute and inviting, there's ZigZag, a Minecraft Bedrock texture pack made by Jamizzle. It has a simple, somewhat cartoony look, with very clean colors and high quality textures.

The most important part, however, is how the mobs look. Most of them will have funny and adorable googly eyes, which will definitely give them a bit of extra character, as well as just make the game more amusing to play.

11 KingdomCraft

Every Minecraft player should try a medieval-themed texture pack at least once, because of how much it can do for the game and its immersion. Rather than focusing on building, this Minecraft Bedrock texture pack by GoE-Craft is great for players who want to play an adventure map or create their own RPG within the game.

Every mob has a brand new look that fits a medieval fantasy realm, and blocks have been upgraded as well, making the building of huge castles and other medieval structures in survival much easier.

10 MazinPack

MazinPack is an 8x8 texture pack that retains most of the traditional Minecraft color scheme, while simplifying the textures and making them a bit more vibrant. This Minecraft Bedrock texture pack has a simplistic and cartoon-like appearance, great for those who prefer their worlds to look blocky rather than realistic.

MazinPack is still a work in progress, and not all items have been textured yet. Most of the essential blocks, however, have been remade into its signature style. There's currently no Java version either, so it's a unique treat for Bedrock players.

9 Paper Cut-Out

For those looking for a slightly more detailed but still very vibrant, clean and cartoon-like appearance for their game, the Paper Cut-Out Minecraft Bedrock texture pack is a perfect addition. This pack gives a bit more depth to most blocks in the game, but without straining the user's computer.

Some of the most notable aspects are the way leaves and plants look. Due to the clean appearance of the texture pack, plants don't appear as choppy and flat, but rather have a beautiful, playful drawn feel to them.

8 Kawaii World

Pink and adorable is the name of the game when it comes to MaRiieCx's Kawaii World Minecraft Bedrock texture pack. Everything one could imagine changing really does change in this texture pack, from wood planks suddenly having a pink tinge to even hostile mobs suddenly possessing a cute, innocent appearance.

The UI also changes significantly with this texture pack, so don't be surprised if you choose to download this one. The bright, pink and purple shades instantly turn an entire Minecraft world into a dream.

7 New Wayukian

For a somewhat realistic but still very much cartoon-like medieval RPG look, the New Wayukian Minecraft Bedrock texture pack is the one option that delivers the most. The textures aren't too harsh or bleak, erring just on the edge of realism and a vibrant RPG game.

Players who want to immerse themselves into a more adventure oriented playthrough of Minecraft should definitely give this texture pack a go, as it changes just about every single aspect of the game, from blocks to items to how mobs appear as well. The game is hardly recognizable at this point, but it's a nice change.

6 DefaultEx

Most players really love the original Minecraft experience. The default look isn't bad, but it definitely could use a bit of cleaning up. Thankfully, the DefaultEx Minecraft Bedrock texture pack does just that and a bit more. Some textures are brand new but still recognizable, while others have gone through a few minor tweaks.

This is the perfect texture pack for a player who loves Minecraft for what it is and doesn't want anything too complicated into their game. The clean appearance is just what's needed to make the game feel fresh.

5 BlockPixel

Everything in Minecraft is blocky or square, but that doesn't mean the textures can't be improved upon. That's exactly what BlockPixel does. This Minecraft Bedrock texture pack incorporates the idea of blocks and squares into every texture, giving it a completely different look while also maintaining that signature feel of Minecraft.

The colors are super vibrant and due to the blocky textures everything looks just different enough to be interesting. Villagers, too, have a brand new look, which should improve some of the immersion for players.

4 Hafen

Fans of any traditional platformers like Super Mario will no doubt appreciate a texture pack like Hafen. The colors are ultra vibrant and playful in this texture pack, so much so that it does end up changing the game quite a bit. However, it's a very clean and adorable appearance.

Hafen was one of the first Minecraft Bedrock texture packs to incorporate the Nether biomes from 1.16 as well, which is why those textures also look particularly incredible in this pack. Lovers of retro games will definitely enjoy this aesthetic.

3 Depixel

When it comes to the Depixel Minecraft Bedrock texture pack, the words "Minecraft, but a touch of realism" perfectly describe the feel of the colors and textures found within. The world of the game is still very much recognizable, with no major changes. However, many mobs and blocks will have significant texture upgrades.

Leaves will actually be shaped like leaves, mobs will appear a bit more frightening and real, but the color schemes still retain a very playful and vibrant wide. It's a nice subtle texture pack for players looking for just a small upgrade.

2 Dokucraft

If Skyrim and Minecraft were to have a baby, Dokucraft would surely be exactly what it would look like. Fans of traditional medieval RPGs will absolutely fall in love with the immersive, highly realistic and detailed Dokucraft texture pack, which is one of most popular texture packs in the history of Minecraft.

Dokucraft completely changes the look of the game. The world will look much less vibrant, but items and details will definitely appear more realistic and well-defined due to the high quality textures. This is the perfect way to turn Minecraft into a fantasy RPG in one go.

1 Zedercraft

Players who aren't afraid of putting some serious strain on their devices and who live for the most amount of realism should try the famous Zedercraft Minecraft Bedrock texture pack. This pack is as realistic in its appearance as one can get in Minecraft.

Don't be surprised, but many passive tamable animals and mobs will have the actual look of real animals. The appearance might be jarring at first, but it's an experience that gets better overtime and turns to game into something so different it becomes nearly unrecognizable.
